Composer and producer Gesaffelstein first broke out of the French electronic music scene in the 00s. From his first releases on renowned electronic labels such as Turbo, Zone and Bromance, to his first LP Aleph (Warner) and most recently, Hyperion via Columbia, Gesaffelstein has continued to build his reputation as one of the most talented and forward-thinking producers of his generation.
With GAMMA comes a new era for Gesaffelstein. At just less than an hour runtime, the album is a dense and radical artistic proposition. Nostalgia is still a very central theme, but on a very different level. While Aleph was mainly an instrumental album and Hyperion welcomed a number of features, GAMMA finally gives a voice to Gesaffelstein through the talented artist and vocalist Yan Wagner. Gesaffelstein brings us familiar sounds and emotions from time passed, but it also propels us into the future. The visuals for GAMMA were done in collaboration with talented photographer and artistic director Jordan Hemingway, known for his unique style, which combines honesty, beauty and brutality.
Gesaffelstein’s aesthetic, both musically and visually, is slicker, harder and darker than those of his contemporaries - which has been celebrated by artists from all realms of music including hip hop, pop, rock or dubstep, and widely embraced by high-end fashion designers. As the world becomes darker, Gesaffelstein has come to represent the zeitgeist from a dance/electronic perspective as shown through his seamless collaborations with artists like The Weeknd, A$AP Rocky, YE or most recently on KayCyy’s debut EP and Lil Nas X’s “J CHRIST.” Gesaffelstein’s sound and aesthetic are more relevant than ever.
With the release of the single “Pursuit” from his debut album Aleph (2013), Gesaffelstein received massive critical acclaim, which propelled him into the international scene, playing at major festival line-ups around the world. In 2015, Gesaffelstein was called on to compose the original soundtrack of Alice Winocour’s neo-noir thriller ‘Maryland’, which received a nomination to the Prix un certain regard at the Cannes Film Festival. His sophomore album HYPERION released in 2019 on Columbia Records featured many prominent collaborations including Pharrell Williams, Haim, The Hacker and Electric Youth, as well as the breakout hit “Lost in the Fire” featuring The Weeknd.

Digital Slaves
Bring out the fun jump in the void
Bring out the toys jump over the rift
What you gonna do before we’re all gone
(What you gonna do before we’re all gone)
I’m gonna have fun with the digital scums
Listen all y’all can you hear them chant?
Cars coolers color tv
And dance dance dance to the digital mess
Bring out the fun with the fog machine
(Bring out the fun with the fog machine)
And laugh out loud with my digital friends
(And laugh out loud with my digital friends)
Your body is
What your body learns
Digital slaves
In the mainframe
Digital scums
Come save me now
Deep down you wish
That it’s not the end
Bring out the toys jump over the rift
What you gonna do before we’re all gone
(What you gonna do before we’re all gone)
I’m gonna have fun with the digital scums
Listen all y’all can you hear them chant?

Hard Dreams
I can’t think of anything as hard as your love
If only I could understand what it is made of
I can’t think of anything as rough as your love
If only I could understand what it is made of
I treat myself with gasoline
The fire grows inside my skin
No fantasy no in-betweens
Don’t tell me no lies
Finger on the trigger
Letting it all out
Bursting with desires
I can’t deal without
I can’t think of anything as hard as your love
If only I could understand what it is made of
I can’t think of anything as rough as your love
If only I could understand what it is made of
Crashing in the empty scene
I see your face on the video screen
I’m your slave and you’re my queen
I picture ourselves in a Hollywood dream
Crouching on the empty scene
Did I see your face on the video screen?
I’m a slave to you my queen
Imagine ourselves in a Hollywood dream
If only I could understand what it is made of
I can’t think of anything as rough as your love
If only I could understand what it is made of
I treat myself with gasoline

The Urge
You feel alive
You feel the urge
You’re breakin out
Baby feel the love
Don’t feel no pain
Feelings like raw meat
Red hot blood rush
Sweat it out
Red hot blood
Deep down in the
Pitch black cave
City is a no man’s land
Your city is a no man’s land
Don’t use your head
You’re wasting time
If life’s a game
Your hand is wack
No pain much gain
Trust no hypocrites
Red hot raw sex
Work it out
Red hot blood
No man’s land
Commencing countdown engine’s on
Can you hear me major bum?
Don’t feel no pain
Feeling like raw meat
I Remember
I remember
I remember
I remember
I Remember
I remember
I remember
I remember
You feel the urge
You’re breakin out
